“Champagne and Caviar”
A part of the series dedicated to Hallie’s late grandmother, Champagne and Caviar is inspired by a shared experience between the artist, her husband and her grandmother. After noticing the lack of caviar in her grandmother’s hometown, Hallie and her husband visited her grandmother and brought with them Whole Food’s finest caviar, blinis and the whole spread. “Nonnie” (grandmother’s nickname), insisted upon opening a bottle of champagne to accompany this hor’douvre. The color palette is drawn from the memory of grandmother’s den. A room filled with antiques, walls adorned with heavy drapery, a large oriental rug and a painting of a rooster hanging above the fireplace mantel.
